Honestly so true, we mostly operate on a 6 day on 12+ hour schedule in residency and it really leaves little room for much else.

💯 agree. Our brains aren’t built to solve logic puzzles for that long. There is a natural human limit, much like running. Even if you’re a marathon runner, you have a limit.

I actually was open to 996 and tried doing it last week. I notice my peak focus is about 5 hrs per day in the morning. Rest of day i have only enough to do administrative work. And by day 4 I was really burned out. I don’t think it’s possible for me so need to prioritize where to put focus.

Absolutely! I can pull 210 hour days in a row. But that’s only if I know I have a vacation coming up. Also, I take a really big nap on those days. I can’t imagine working 996, only getting like an hour lunch break and having to be in an office.
