Imagine “being worried about Ariana’s Oscar hopes” without having even seen the film yet. I like her and thought she was great in the first, and I’m excited to see her in this, but this blind allegiance is insane. Even if her performance was not as good, you can still like her and that doesn’t mean she won’t win in the future. People, come on.

I saw it and loved it. It was a good representation of the second half of the musical. I feel like these critics haven’t seen the stage play because it is quite true to many of the plot points and adjusts some of the second acts flaws. It’s a very enjoyable film and I think both films together make for an excellent representation of Wicked The Musical (stage production). The film is solid and critics were just ignorant and wanted a defying gravity 2 instead of an interpretation of the second act of the play. If they changed it to a different outcome, I would have been angry as a fan. Smdh.

a lot of the bad reviews had critiques that were similar to the critiques the stage version got, too. so maybe it's just a problem with the story itself

It’s not a perfect movie, but I think Chu did what he could with the source material! I give it a 8/10! I can’t wait to see it again. Some of those rotten tomatoes reviews are lethal and I don’t get that level of disdain. It’s solid!

it's good tho, it's just a continuation from the first part (it's supposed to be like that), and I THINK from MY OPINION this movie doesn't have the same amount of story structure that the first one had, and it feels like one movie cut into two, the emotional feeling got cut off, BUTTTT I STILL REALLY FREAKING LOVE THIS MOVIE OKAYYY, THE REVIEW ARE WRONGG
