As someone that worked at Payless for years also mens size 5 is the same as kids size 5 and so on. Womens get tricky because for some reason they wanted to do that differently. A women's 5 is a big kids 3, women's 6 is a big kids 4, women's 7 is a big kids 5 and men's 5, women 8 is a big kids 6 and men's 6. I'm not sure why they did that but it's 2 sizes different from big kids and men's. So women's 9 is a mens 7, women 10 is a mens 12.

my tag says my 3 year old angel wears 10c shoe size. Should i call salvation army to make sure this isn't a mistake or does this make sense? i do not have any 3 year olds in my family right now so I don't have ground for comparison. For reference, the clothing size they asked for is 5t (which I am assuming is so the kid grows into it, but it could also be their true size?)

I feel like you should’ve said men’s sizes instead of adults sizes. Kids sizes lead straight into men’s sizes, but women’s are 1.5 different. So an 8 in women’s is a 6.5 in kids/men’s sizes. A 9.5 in women’s is a 7 in kids/mens. An 11 in women’s is a 9.5 in men’s.

I’m a big kids size 6 because a woman’s size 8 technically fits my feet but not the arch of my foot so adult sizes are terrible for me anytime I buy kids shoes in stores someone always assumes I’m either buying for a sibling or I’m a child myself
