Precious Nwokansu :
Thank God I don’t have such people in my life. For years, God began to teach me how to chose friends because I didnt and still don’t know how to make them. I learned in the process that choosing the right circle is highly dependent on your level of self-awareness, self-worth and life’s vision. A person who doesn’t know these things will never truly attract or maintain the right people for their lives and journey. The reason why most people still believe they can’t make friends as adults is because it requires self-reflection and intentionality to attract and keep an intentional, valuable human adult. The secondary school friends many boast of being the best is because that was a self-discovery stage. Someone who is just getting to understand their body anatomy and society is easier to penetrate and when you do, they are likely to be genuine but even at that, most secondary friends still show you shege because at the end of the day, human nature will prevail. Also, must learn how to place boundaries for everything. We tolerate too much especially life-defining things. People are still struggling with saying NO. If you are that person, you don’t need friends or community, you need a self-retreat and you need it fast! Lastly, to go far, we must learn to take accountability for our decisions. Learn to blame yourself for the role you play in your life. Every hurt you’ve ever felt was permitted by you DIRECTLY whether you were aware of it or not. When your trust is broken, sit without ask answer questions that led to that result. Tell yourself what you did wrong, the power you gave out and practice your next move. There’s a difference between being kind and being nice. You want to be kind. Audit your life and you’ll naturally begin to expel the wrong people in your life. Thank you, Mr. Eric as always.
