Agreed. The egg and heavy cream method is fast and taste wayyyy better to me too and my family agrees when I make it for them…. Roux isn’t necessary!

I normally use 2 eggs, 1 can evaporated milk, 1 can sweetened condensed milk...... Ima have 2 try it with the sour cream tho....

Just made this. This is what I been looking for. This is what we had as a kid and then everybody been trying to make all these different versions over the years and this is the best. I want it to taste like cheese not seasoned chicken. Thank you for sharing this!!!
