Eric, TikTok changed my mind about China. I'm Gen X and I ashamed to admit that I believed the propaganda. Not anymore. I'm hoping to travel to China and experience the exact type of tourism you are so brilliantly describing. China blew my mind.

I'm a millennial in rural Wisconsin that spent my childhood "digging my way to China" in the sand box. It wasn't until I went on Redbook that I realized there were Chinese millennials "digging their way to the US." We were halfway across the world, divided by layers of propaganda, and seperated in opposite corners online- but we still dug deep into the Earth to connect with those we've never met. That's humanity to me. And I hope to one day finally get there to see the land and its people with my own eyes.

I toured China for 3 weeks last year. Since then I've told everyone that everything I thought I knew about China was baloney! (American for totally false). You're right - put out the welcome mat for vast numbers of visitors and the worldview will change. No amount of propaganda can refute personal experience shared with friends, neighbors and colleagues.

At 16 I went to China from Scotland and loved it. As a solo travelling young girl it was an incredible experience. I always wanted to return. When I came back I realised how ignorant the western world is about China - I am so glad people can finally see for themselves what a beautiful country China is.

How are tattoos actually viewed now? I have tattoos scattered from my feet to the backs of my hand and as much as I want to visit someday, I don’t want to be disrespectful or put myself or the people with me in dangerous/uncomfortable situations

We absolutely love China 🇨🇳 Those cities are just being themselves and the people are so friendly and the infrastructure is nothing I’ve seen before. We visited from the cities to the countryside and 4 nights on the Yangtze River in 5 star luxury, Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors. Please if you want to discover somewhere out of this world with friendly people I strongly recommend 🇨🇳 China❤️❤️❤️❤️
