Let’s also talk about the bullshit marketing of “we’re spending $20 million in keeping tree limbs cut” instead of investing the proper money to just bury the lines. In Royal Oak we lose power from a bird fart and all they do is keep mutilating the trees further. No reason not to lay the lines underground next to the gas lines. I’ll die on this hill.

And now they’re investing in the data center that will increase energy output levels so much, they’ll no longer be beholden to Michigan’s climate control initiative. They’ll destroy our resources while they continue to raise rates, increasing their own revenue.

I worked for DTE & it made me sick to my stomach to find out how they operate. I quit because of their shady practices. Can you also touch on how they are the ones donating to the federal funds to help pay for programs like SER? As someone who believes in cooperatively owned utilities I cannot wait for the takedown of DTE

I remember our power being out for days, losing $300 of food and when I called to see if they provided us compensation, I was as told “well you didn’t have to pay electricity for the 3 days it was out!” I hate DTE with a passion
