Silly me. I’ve only just realised that Pule Daniel C. is not actually called Pule Daniel C. Zero. I genuinely thought “Zero” was part of the man’s name because every time the presidential election results are announced, it seems to go something like: “Pule Daniel C… ZERO.” Naturally, I assumed Zero was his surname. Pule Daniel C. Zero. Quite distinguished, actually. But apparently not. It turns out the “zero” simply refers to the number of votes he appears to be collecting in virtually every constituency. 😂 My apologies to Mr Pule for misunderstanding the Electoral Commission. I’m sure he is a thoroughly lovely man, and this is, of course, just a joke. No disrespect intended. But I may never be able to hear his name announced without mentally adding the “Zero” ever again. #ZambiaElections #ZambiaDecides #ZambianPolitics #ElectionHumour #ZambiaVotes
