I like the term “inquiry” for what you’re calling a “question”. I don’t think anyone would use the word “inquiry” to refer to a request (unless perhaps it was a request for information)

Can you cover channel island english? It is influenced by our norman languages. E.g. We say ‘there is’ even when its plural and ‘not more than that’ and ‘in jersey’ instead of ‘on jersey’. We also use words like ‘vraic’ from ‘vrai’ for seaweed, ‘côtil’ and ‘ruddy’
