This is why microwave safe glass exists that’s also not a real mason jar built for jarring if it was (ik you didn’t say it was just stating) it would prevent this

microwaves can heat water past the boiling point - it doesn't look like its boiling but as soon as its moved it can explode! very dangerous!

Apparently youre not supposed to heat up water in glass in the microwave. I learned the hard way and my glass basically exploded one day even though I had been doing it for years

I saw a video about it being caused by the heat being trapped under the water tension so when the water wiggles from being moved it explodes. I just put a wooden spoon in it and it’s fine. And never more than 2 minutes at a time with a mix in between if more is needed.
