@wakanaija1: We brought Buhari into politics to help protect the Fulani structure in Kwara State -- Buba Galadima. In other words, Buhari came to politics to protect and promote the interest of Fulanis according to Galadima himself and not necessarily to unify and improve Nigeria. Now you understand why Buhari's policies were pro - Fulani and not about unifying Nigeria. Remember the RUGA Programme and other bills and policies that were just for the Fulanis and never about other Nigerians. Now you understand why Buhari never cared about things going on in Nigeria then. Remember, he was not always aware. Now, you understand why a Nigerian president would prioritise construction of railway to another country while there are no functional railway lines in many parts of Nigeria. Now, you understand why Buhari would call the entire South East DOT and told them that they will be taught in the language they understand. It was so offensive coming from a president that Twitter had to suspend Buhari's account. He only cared about his people, the Fulanis. What a country. I will always say this, 2015 was the beginning of a dark chapter in the history of this nation. Bringing APC to power in 2015 was the biggest mistake Nigeria ever made as a country. #nigeria #africa #tinubu #apcut #usa
There is no crime in protecting your regional interests, peacefully and using the electoral process in achieving that. Obviously Galadima is first Fulani, before Nigerian.
Ilorin was originally entirely a Yoruba settlement administered by the Yoruba's. Ilorin today has a Fulani emir and is an integral part of the Fulani emirate.
Wikipedia: The Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) is a Yoruba nationalist, regionalist, and vigilante organization in Nigeria. It is also known as the Oodua Liberation Movement (OLM) or the Revolutionary Council of Nigeria. It is based in southwestern Nigeria and has grassroots support within the Yoruba ethnic community.
History
The Oodua Peoples Congress was formed by a group of Yoruba elites and artisans which included Dr. Fredrick Fasehun (founder and its first national leader).
They decided to form an organization to actualize the annulled mandate of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, a Yoruba who most people believed to be on his way to winning the presidential election of 12 June 1993, which was subsequently annulled by the military government before vote tallying was complete.
