@its_ischieee: This wabi-sabi trend has been hitting me harder than I expected. It’s teaching me to see beauty in the things I spent years trying to hide. I avoided side angles, learned every camera trick possible, and prayed no one would notice my overbite. And then there were my two upper incisors — a little bigger than average — that made me feel like my smile was something I had to apologize for. For so long, I carried this quiet embarrassment, this fear of being judged for not having the “socially aesthetic” kind of teeth everyone seemed to praise. Teen me was convinced that different meant defective. But adult me is finally understanding that the things I once called flaws are simply features — the unique details that make my face mine. Imperfect, yes. But also honest, human, and perfectly me. And honestly… who wants to fit in when you can stand out in your own way? #ticktocksouthafrica🇿🇦 #wabisabi #overbite #international #southafrica
