This hits cuz that's how I initially got in debt. Always growing up and hearing no we can't afford that and having to re-wear the same clothes mentally messed me up. It's why I always have to fight the inclination to buy clothing every paycheck

I gotta know because you so proudly say no adults should get gifts. I hope you’re not getting a single thing and I hope you have it for the last two years and if you are accepting gifts, you are a hypocrite. Let’s hope you stand by your words. You better not be accepting this from anybody including your children or your husband or your grandparents because they don’t even need the slippers and you don’t need anything
