You can test with a DMM. Check voltage while engine is running. Should be between 13.2v-14.6v. Im surprised no one mentioned this.

I have a 2018 Civic and it’s been making a terrible noise loud. I thought it was a heat shield no lights on the dash no dimming on the lights no battery issues but I had a bad alternator.

what if you don't have any lights on the dash but a check engine code for the charging system

if it starts dying it charges fine but it wil be mostly around 14,2 volts and sometimes falling under that. Better change it before it leaves you stranded on the road

What about if I just had the alternator replaced. Could it be the alternator fuse?

It is literally so easy to check alternator output a YouTube video and a volt meter and about 5 min of effort and you’ll figure it out
