As a Mexican American, I love this video and wish the U.S. would take a page from the U.K.’s playbook. The current U.S. government doesn’t actually understand its own immigration laws and continues to spread misinformation, which is why I’m more proud to be Mexican than American.

She stated that even skilled workers may need to wait 10 years to obtain settlement. This is extremely unreasonable and deeply unfair. If such policies remain in place, the country will struggle to attract legal immigrants, as international students would see no viable career prospects or long-term opportunities here. Considering the high fees they pay to universities, it is understandable that they would question coming to this country if their future is so uncertain.
