Love to hear this. Spent my 20’s in chaos and have tried over my 30’s to clean it up. Almost 40 and I’m ready to be THRIVING into old age!! I played pickleball with a gal that was 80 and she was SO GOOD!!!! I can’t wait to see myself in 40 years still kicking a$$ at things.

This validates my decisions to go to the gym 3 days a week at 36 and try to make healthier choices for me and my entire family. Olive oil > butter, baked instead of fried. Moderations are key!

This is why I go to the gym today in my 40’s. Half for the benefits right now, half for the future. The thought of being dependent on people or stuck in a bed for 10 years horrifies me.

I’m up there in age. My main reason I do everything I can to stay healthy and mobile is because I want to continue to enjoy my life as I have. And I want to live alone… I don’t want help. I don’t want assisted living.

He’s 100% right. I’m 66. I’m not as worried about WHEN I die, as much as what kind of state will I be in before that. Will I be able to walk, take care of myself, etc.

Great advice! When I worked in elder healthcare I was astounded at how many specialists people would see and how many meds they took. It’s like their schedule was full of medical appointments because of chronic illness.

The biggest struggle for the young generations is that it’s difficult to imagine a healthy future for our world.. how are we expected to be healthy when the world feels like it’s crumbling around us?😣
