Christmas sprinkle embroidery cookie decorating night with @World Market ❤️🎄 Cookie decorating is such a nostalgic excuse to gather for me, and this year I thought it would be fun to try out the sprinkle embroidery trend on cookies! I love that they end up looking like homemade embroidered ornaments and are such a delicious treat when you're done! To prep for the night, I started by decorating with items from World Market's holiday collection, and it was fun that the beaded table runner could even serve as a little source of inspiration for us while we decorated! For the cookies, I made my favorite no-spread vanilla cookie dough recipe and cut the rolled dough into ornaments, trees, stars, and snowflakes. For my buttercream frosting, I split up the batch and dyed it deep, rich colors reminiscent of velvet ornaments. I piped buttercream onto each cookie and pressed them buttercream-side down on parchment paper. I placed them into the freezer until the icing froze, and then I pulled off the parchment paper to reveal the smooth tops!
