Was true in ‘78. We’d keep our wrappers and ten wrappers could get you a free one, but a shooting star was always worth one.

I call it the dreaded star, cause I'd get literally nothing from it as a kid.

we had the nicest candy convenience store was i was a kid. 10 cent boxs of like lemonheads and boston beans and now and laters and stuff. They would give you a free tootsie pop if you found a hand written star shape on your tootsie pop. They made real candy too!

It was just good employees and owners, when life was better and a tootsie pop wasn’t 2 dollars. I would die and give my soul. To let everyone go back to that timeline.

Rainbow Mart, just down the road for me growing up played along. It was the best. When I found out, it was never a real promotion. The joy and gratitude was so much more special.
