I just replaced mine a week ago. couldn't go more then two miles before that sensor would fail from a cold start. once warm it wouldn't work at all. dont wait it can really be bad for your motor.

just changed mine it was shorting out because of a bad wire so it was intermittent grabbing of the transmission

Idk if it was the cam or crankshaft sensor but in my Mercedes, if I accelerated the RPM gauge jumped up and down. It felt like when you brake really fast and release multiple times. No mechanic could find the problem until I found a yt vid about it and that this sensor was the cause.
