Yeah, it’s a good idea. Let’s put something that hates heat right next to a heat generator. If you’re trying to sell more units, absolutely. If you want reliability, do it right and keep the electronics in a cabinet - cool, dust free and dry.

Used to work in their main warehouse, picked those big cabinets and scrapped SP50 VFDs by the pallet when they went to Baldor / ABB. Cool seeing what the stuff actually does everyday now.
