There is nothing wrong with marking up parts. 80% is standard and that is high. I do 20-40% depending on the part and supplier. That mark up helps cover labor for warranty claims since they usually cover less than 1/2 shop rate and to pay parts person. Also I offer 2 year, 24k warranty even if part is a 12/12.
