Also… my parents treated our pets horribly. Neglect, punishment, didn’t care to learn how to actually train or make them happy, didn’t actually give them the love and care and medical treatment they needed 🙃🙃🙃

my mom passively told me this 😭 i’ve always been open about never wanting kids and one time i said i still didn’t want them she literally said “you should just have one! it’s like having a little pet!” and that’s when it clicked for me this is exactly how she views me and always has.
