@florinexacta: “The Pages of Charleston” is my love letter to a city made of cobblestones, salt air, and bookstore pages. In 2018 I had the privilege to work at Buxton Books, and this song is a tribute to that time, to the people there, and to the quiet magic of that bookstore. I wrote this folk song thinking of long walks in Charleston, discovering Buxton Books on a Fourth of July, and feeling how a simple bookstore can open the whole history and kindness of a place. The song follows a guy who works among the shelves, learning the city through the stories that pass through his hands.
