That’s commonplace for parents in Alabama as far as discipline goes. I got “punished” the same way as a kid. Even had glass dinner plates thrown at my head that broke the cabinet when I ducked. That’s not even the worst of it.

i go to that school and i can promise you the other teachers there are all sweet. We had no clue that she was doing that at home and i use to be a teacher assistant for her as well and she never did anything to those kids at the school. You really don’t know what someone does behind closed doors
