It’s not the belt spanking that’s the problem, it’s the dehumanizing him, cursing in his face, snatching him up by the hair and squeezing his face and belittling him, that part to me is more abusive than the spanking. I grew up in the 70s and my spankings were way worse. But the true scars are from the mental abuse that comes with the spirit of rage that the punishment is done in.

These comments aren’t it. I got spankings as a child with a leather belt but it was NEVER to this extent. Squeezing your child’s face, hitting them multiple times as hard as you can, then yanking them up BY THEIR HAIR is not okay. wtf is wrong with the people in the comments.
