I was spanked with a belt when I was a child probably ages 9-11 or so and yeah maybe it helped me not be a bad kid or turn into a bad adult I can't really say it did or didn't BUT it was never this excessive and even in my 40s I still remember it like it was yesterday it is traumatic IDC what anyone says it stays with you but this is to the point of abuse not punishment my parents never hit us over and over like that no way

I think disciplining your children is fine, but using objects is going overboard and very old school . I grew up like this and it wasn't beneficial

There’s a line between discipline & abuse. 20 times is a bit much. I got my ass beat very bad growing up. I don’t hit my kids at all because of what I went through.

I’m an 84’ baby and let me tell u, if u did something wrong that u knew was wrong, yea the belt was the choice. Atleast it’s not a paddle with holes in it.
