Physical punishment isn’t teaching. It’s hurting. When a child or animal is hit, slapped, spanked, or otherwise physically punished, they don’t learn better behavior — they learn fear, pain, and that the person hurting them is unsafe. “Spanking” is not discipline nor punishment and is not ok. Beating with objects like belts is also not ok.
