How hard do you have to press with the wooden roller when smoothing out the sound deadener sheets? I’m about to carry out sound deadening on my inner door skins with Car Builders sound deadener and acoustic liner; however, I’m a little nervous about denting my door skins (2024 AZ Suzuki Swift Sport). I’ve put the sheets in the sun inside the box to warm them up and soften the butyl for easier application. I wish you had a detailed step-by-step video guide for those of us that are particular and new to this, haha. And, do you have to overlap the sound deadener sheets, or is it best to place the sheets side by side with a small gap between to avoid water trapping and potential long-term rust? Also, is the finishing foil tape a must, or an optional thing?
