if it doesn't heal, ask for an MRI to rule out as lis franc fracture. I was told I had broken 3 toes but found out I had also broken 2 bones in my midfoot and a lis franc fracture. I ended up needing it pinning.

I fell down a step at work and thought I'd broken my foot it was so bruised underneath it was black. Went to the hospital and was told it was a sprain. Now years and tears later it is deformed and my instep is much higher than the other and it often hurts in the cold weather. Im sure it was a fracture 🙄🙄

My foot looked so much worse than that but they were adamant it wasn’t broken. It was black with bruising on top and the sole of the foot. I’m still convinced it was broken.

I did that, took me a year to get Xrays and now it’s healed wrong.

I've broken 4 metatarsals and my foot didn't bruise until about day 3 I think but it was swollen that's why I thought it was just a sprain
