@jana.danielson: For most women (studies show between 60 and 90% are already living with a hypertonic (too tight) pelvic floor. The execution of the classic Kegel is overwhelmingly taught as ‘stop the flow of urine -the clench or the squeeze- and then start the flow of urine - the release. Quickly this adds to the tension and I want to remind you that a tense muscle is NOT a strong muscle. When I work with the amazing people in my Cooch Ball community we start with the release work on the ball for weeks before we start to add in the strengthening exercises of The Cooch Ball Method. The bridge has been shown to be 56% more impactful than a Kegel. Watch me cue Brittani through this, there are some small details that are super important to be aware of.
