But thin layers have a downside: if the surface is too soft, they simply bend, and the sound becomes weak. But a thick layer of wax is a whole different story. It cools much more slowly, becomes dense and heavy, and gives that deep, rich crunch many people love. Sometimes it even cracks in layers, like a tiny sheet of ice. But… thick layers can be picky. If the wax is too warm or applied unevenly, it can just melt down and not crack at all 😭 The most interesting part is that the same squishy can sound completely different depending on the thickness of the wax.
