i had a question for you — why is it that different English-speaking accents (American, British, Irish, etc) don’t really come through when a speaker is singing but this happens in other languages? listening to Rosalía, you can tell she’s Spanish and same with Bad Bunny, his PR accent is very strong while singing! is it just something that maybe English speakers don’t hear as much?

I know she’s doing this on purpose but when I was a teacher I worked in minority majority schools w/ESOL newcomer programs. My English speaking kids would immediately pick up on the other kids’ blaccent in their English. It absolutely made for some interesting language speaking patterns in those kids.
