@iambriadam: We’re officially on day ✋🏽 of this IVF journey, and honestly, it has been so much smoother than I expected. I’m incredibly grateful for Dr. Hill and the entire team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville — they’ve made this whole process feel manageable, even peaceful. As someone walking through cancer treatment, having a team that brings me comfort and confidence means everything. If you’re new here, I’m doing IVF to retrieve eggs before starting radiation and chemotherapy. I don’t struggle with fertility, but these treatments can impact it down the line. And as a woman, I’m not willing to risk having that part of my life taken away without a fight. So I’m doing what I need to do now to protect my future. Freezing my eggs gives me the reassurance that I can still have biological children, even if my body isn’t able to carry naturally later. You can never be too careful when it comes to something this important. Also, a lot of you have asked about soursop — it contains antioxidant and cytotoxic compounds that help eliminate free radicals in the body, which can help prevent cell damage and may reduce cancer development.
