Just had my surgery last Tuesday and they found more than I was expecting. So relieved for answers but the fear of the pain coming back is extreme.

Just had another excision surgery and partial hysterectomy (adenomyosis) at the Mayo Clinic. I agreed for my excised endometriosis to be used for research purposes. When my Dr asked if I was okay with that I said absolutely. My goal is to help women with this disease what a better way than to use my own tissue to help? I’m praying the next generation doesn’t have to endure what we have. I hope we have a cure for us who have suffered for decades. I want all women to be able to live a pain free life. 🤍

I’m all for sharing experiences & spurring more women focused research but plz let’s stop saying whatever disease we have is “the most/one of the most painful.” It’s not a competition.
