@alex.williams5830: 1. A Stanford research team spent 12 years interviewing people who lived past 100 in rural villages across Japan, Italy, and Greece. They expected stories about diet, exercise, or genetics. Instead, they found something that made modern physicians uncomfortable: every single centenarian had refused the same medical advice their doctors gave them in their 60s. 2. What they refused? Daily prescription medications for "prevention." Doctors told them to take statins, blood pressure pills, aspirin — "just in case." The centenarians said no. They only took medicine when actually sick, not to prevent theoretical future problems. Their bodies never became dependent on pharmaceutical intervention. 3. The data is brutal: people who started preventive medication regimens at 60 lived an average of 12 years less than those who refused. Why? The medications created new problems, requiring more medications, creating a cascade. The centenarians' bodies learned to regulate themselves. The medicated bodies forgot how. 4. One 104-year-old Italian grandmother said it perfectly: "My doctor wanted me on five pills a day when I turned 65. I told him I'd take them when something breaks, not before. He said I was being reckless. Forty years later, I'm still here. He's not." Her body never stopped doing its job because pills never took over. 5. One camp swallows preventive medications religiously, trusting doctors more than their own bodies, wondering why they need more pills each year despite "doing everything right." The other waits until there's an actual problem before intervening. One medicated their body into dependence. The other let their body stay strong enough to handle life. How many pills are you taking for things that haven't happened yet? 👉 We might not see each other again in this chaotic feed — if this resonated, follow for daily insights that actually matter. Your future self will thank you.

I know this to be very true. My mother always rejected the cholesterol pills for prevention. When my mother suffer from dementia and I had to check her medicines, she had maybe two or three medications that had to do a cholesterol and she never even had a cholesterol issue so I guess they wear her down. Our brain is mainly cholesterol so when they gave her that medication, it dried up her brainand gave her dementia because I’m the youngest no one will trust me because I don’t give her those names I give her omega-3 and nothing but healthy food lots of greens, but I no longer allowed near her unless I follow their regiment which I refuse to do.

What is written is not entirely true! For example, if you have high blood pressure (essential) and you take medication when you are already feeling unwell, it is extremely reckless and dangerous! It is better to change your lifestyle, but not everyone has the strength to do that!

After blood tests my blood pressure was a bit elevated. He actually said no to medicine because it can be controlled with diet. I believe him. I'm almost 60 so I'm at that age. I even went off depression medication because it dozed me out too much. I couldn't function.

My grandparents lived to 100 at home fully functioning. Flu got one and hip surgery the other. No prescription meds. Grandpa always said doctors sell drugs and hospital is where people go to die.

I quit all doctors at 25 years ago. Even had 4 home births with no intervention and healthy breastfed children with no need for doctors. Amazing ❤️

Genetics DO play a small part. However, Rx medications constantly taken do open up a rabbit hole that never ends. Vaccines? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Docs kept pressuring me to take the flu shots as I got older....I refused. Haven't had the flu since I was 31.... am 74 now. Common sense plays a huge role.
