I personally don’t feel that higher production makes me feel like something is sold to me, but I’ve spent enough time in the Internet to know the intent of something someone is creating. I do think your spot on that quality is relatable due to everyone having about the same quality device in their pocket. There are a lot of variables. I don’t know who you are, but I’d be curious to know, what kind of content to do you upload using your higher quality equipment? Is it as engaging as something that can be uploaded from your phone?

I don’t think they’re dead I think you’re experiencing an effort dilemma. It’s a lot of effort to make good high quality content so you expect an equal return. I wonder if you put out the same vid shot in different qualities would it do the same?
