@sewingnapoleon: 😭im obsessed with Mia Goth’s costumes in Guillermo del toros frankenstein (2025)!!! ❤️ REAL VICTORIAN FASHION WAS ABOUT COLOR! Reenactor communities have been buzzing about the wonderful costumes in this film! The Victorian era dress colors I highlighted in this video are the malachite green from Goth’s velvet dress ensemble, periwinkle blue from her nightgown, the lapis of her beetle blue necklace (provided by Tiffany and co! I chose a Spanish style silver necklace from the Santa Fe collection. You know I love Spanish Victorian style). And of course, the vermillion bonnet shroud. the indigo fact I learned from Jeananne Wright, a quilting historian I would trust with my life. I could not find all period accurate Victorian clothes. Boo! I know! The video is made of clips from a visit earlier this year, and thank gosh I took a lot of extra video. Also- heads up.
