Blocked in? Gets out in front of a **moving** vehicle? I hate it, but it appears (based solely on this video) the cops put themselves in that position and courts have held over and over cops cannot force a deadly scenario under those circumstances.

It being California, the officer will be crucified. The car stopped before striking anyone, but his split second decision was that the car was going to be used as a deadly weapon to kill his fellow officers. I think it’s a questionable but clean shoot.

1000% justified. Your peripheral vision is limited in that high stress situation and the shooting officer knew his partner was in that area. It is reasonable.

Ppl are going to Monday morning QB this to death. Why did you….? Why didn’t you….? I think it’s a justified UOF, however the officer is probably going to have a tuff time emotionally because it was a juvenile.
