It’s not that I grew up ugly, it’s that I lost that confidence and gained a ton of weight. I didn’t get any attention from girls outside my family and it made me unable to understand concepts. I used to be short and had bad teeth all through middle school and early high school. I was always falling for girls, but I never even spoke a word to any of them. When I was around 17 or 18, I got braces and started going to the gym. I grew to 5'9" (1.75 m). I had my first girlfriend when I was 20, but six months into the relationship, I left the country. I've been in the US for three years now. I don't know how to approach women—they intimidate me, and on top of that, I have to speak in a language that isn't my native one.
