It started out popular, kinda faded, then revived recently when they added younger pros that got very famous on tiktok. Plus they got better host (Alfonso) and the show has just kept improving.

I can explain. It’s the BTS on TikTok that the younger pros are doing during rehearsals, outings, during backstage, viral dances online, etc. They’re building their following and it’s gaining traction with the younger generation of viewers but we still have the older generation watching which is basically doubling their views because now we have TWO gen’s, not just one watching! It’s very exciting!!!! Ok sorry that was a long sermon.

No he’s right. This year was the biggest it’s ever been. It almost got canceled a few years ago and moved exclusively to Disney plus. That season was huge, it went back to ABC, and now it’s bigger than it’s ever been
