I sure do hope she wins her case. There is no such thing as overstepping. In the service industry I should know. I've done it all my life.

should she have gotten a manager, maybe. managers are human too and at times won't deal with confrontational customers.
She reacted I think in the best way. She didn't call them names or swear which is nicer than how I would have handled it. Shame on restaurant for firing her.
