People have run tests of overfilling by up to 2 quarts and running engines for 100s of hours and saw no damage. fyi

ok so you're saying a oil pan that holds 7qt when motor is started there is usually 1qt in the pan but adding 1 more qt some is damaging the engine lol it'll be fine

The cross hatching is where the oil is supposed to be. Filling up past that is going to ddcrease your vehicles performance because the crankcase has to breathe as well. The crankshaft is going to be fighting to move through the viscous oil. Never over fill your engine oil.
