the design doesn't always have to be unique, but have a meaning, be yours, if a character design is just a bunch of things to be original that don't correlate to it's story, then what's the purpose, it could just as well be a normal guy and it will still be the same the same thing, instead of worrying about the looks, you should worry about its personality, about its story, about the meaning, that's what makes a character important

ye cause literally you are supposed to create a STORY, not a character. any design will be good when a good story sticks to it. you don't have to have a good design, you can have an average girl or boy in white t-shirt

your character is unique cause you made it. my oc is the most basic robot you've ever seen but then has a unique backstory. has the backstory been done before? kinda but not fully, but it definitely hasn't been done for a robot
