@zahraakxo: 📍 @Ayeeyo’s kitchen, Grangetown 🇸🇴 After visiting Ayeeyo’s Kitchen recently, I think I’ve found my top spot of the year and I’m not sure why more people aren’t talking about this place! We went for: • Samosas (one lamb, one halloumi) • Soup of the day • Humous with bread • Lasagne • Platter with chicken, lamb and salmon with rice • Vimto mojito • Mango mojito Kicking things off with the starters. The samosas were so tasty, the filling was so flavourful and the bisbaas sauce was just a perfect accompaniment. I loved the halloumi but the lamb one took the win for me here! The soup was so hearty and paired with that hummus and bread - wow, comforting to the max! Now, the main event(s). The lasagne was absolutely phenomenal. It was rich, spicy and so decadent. I’m usually hit and miss with lasagne but this has to be the best lasagne I’ve had - I loved how much flavour it packed. The platter was on another level, it was perfect. The chicken was so tender, it was like butter! The lamb just fell apart, it was cooked so perfectly and the salmon was also cooked beautifully. I believe they use the same marinade for all three and wow was it good. It was spicy but the depth of flavours was like something I’d never tried before. I’m not even a rice person but even the rice was so more-ish - I couldn’t get enough. Even the drinks were a 10/10 - make sure you get the Vimto mojito! I’ve walked past Ayeeyo’s many times meaning to pop in, and I’m so glad I finally did. The food blew me away, and the warmth of the staff made the whole experience even better. It’s a family-run spot, and you can taste the love and care in every single dish.
