Only thing I disagree with is the financing. If we can get 0% financing we’re gonna do that. Our money earns more invested so if we get no interest on say, a new HVAC then that is smarter.

Well imo your savings rate should be what you can afford. I work as an investment banker in nyc, and my savings rate is closer to 65% bc I don’t need that much money for my daily essentials.
