Do you have to sous vide or can you just defrost them in the fridge and cook in like a pan I like the idea of already having the seasoned and portioned out but I don’t like the idea of souse vide

Guys the water bath is called sous vide, it’s a very common way to cook and the bags are good and temp safe. Google it lol

you can also pop them straight in the freezer and then put them into the sous vide just add an extra hour.

Do you sear in a pan after or just eat after the sous vide? Or is more of a personal preference?

Do you have to sous vide in a sous vide or can I sous vide in like a slow cooker?
Follow up, I don't have a vacuum sealer can I use zip lock bags or maybe empty crisp packets and paper clips

I’m confused by the water bath. I always thought a water bath was when you put water on the oven in a seperate dish to your food so the steam would keep your food moist, but not actually put the food in the water. It kind looked like you sous vide them? Which I’ve never done or seen done, but that sounds like what I’ve read it is. Which makes me wonder if my vacuum seal bags are safe to do that with… I want tender chicken too!
