@takenapss: Prediction Markets are Just Online Gambling The new euphemism for online gambling is "prediction markets." I'm a capitalist and I'm not here to debate the legality or morality of these businesses. If the same thing is legal for sports, it should be legal. However, let's not pretend like this is a good trend, as it preys primarily on young men. Apps like Kalshi and Polymarket are the main names in this arena and there's no way that betting on things like the weather could be beneficial to the primarily young men they are advertised to. Just my opinion.
