I went to Maeklong Market in Thailand and didn't barter with anyone. I got 3 scarves for 100baht and a beautiful purse with matching wallet for the equivalent of $27USD. even if she was trying to rip me off, that's still an incredible deal imo so I just said yup here you go lol

I rarely haggle if I’m in a poor country. I don’t care if they think I’m a clueless tourist who they can rip off. I have the money and they don’t.

I don’t know how people can barter so much over small amounts, in my mind it’s either a price that I’m willing to pay or not 😅 I’m not gonna argue for 15 minutes for a couple €€

The bartering drives me nuts. I know some people feel it’s part of their experience because it’s part of the culture but when you’re arguing with someone who has a lot less than you over cents,I have a problem with it.
