But inside, I was fighting a battle no one could see. The trauma, the fear, the exhaustion… it all sat on my shoulders for so long. Learning to walk again wasn’t just physical — it meant facing the same kind of situation that once broke me. Every part of me wanted to run, to hide, to disappear. But I didn’t. I stayed. I tried. And slowly… painfully slowly… things began to change. Now, three years after that first video, I can walk. I can breathe. I can say “I am not fine” when I’m not, and I no longer force myself to swallow my feelings just to keep going. I’m finally able to enjoy life again — and that joy feels earned. Hard-won. Real.
