Update on Lev- So, It's been about a week since we got home from the hospital. The night of 11/8/22 completely shook me, its still hard to believe Lev has been diagnosed with epilepsy. So, I took Lev to see his pediatrician Monday for spasms & involuntary arm shaking. Dr had me send videos I took of Lev having these episodes to a neurologist, I got a call shortly after and told to head to Children's as soon as a bed opened up for Lev, she believed he was having seizures. Mine and Justin's heart sank. Honestly, it sent me into a panic. Frazzled we tried to get everything together and family to watch our other three kids. We were admitted Monday night, Lev was hooked up to the EEG to watch his brain waves and see if he was having seizures. He hated getting those things glued to his head. He cried so hard, it broke my heart. The next morning he had an MRI. It was really hard to hand him to a nurse and walk out knowing he was about to be sedated and I couldn't see him for an hour. But, Justin and I were there when he was finished and waited with him as he woke up from anesthesia. They said he did well. The MRI showed that his brain looks healthy and normal. Thank you Lord. The rest of the day we spent in his hospital room hooked up to the EEG waiting to catch one of the episodes he was having at home. Tuesday night, his neurologist confirmed that he indeed was having seizures and recommended he start anti seizure medicine right away. She said he has focal epilepsy. We stayed in the hospital two more days, making sure he was handling the medication well and dealing with stats dropping, having a hard time getting him off oxygen. Thursday 11/10/22, Justin's birthday we were discharged! Such a nice birthday gift to go home and all be together. Since being home, it has been rough. Lev has continued to have break through seizures. We've increased his meds to a higher dose, twice now. As of today, he is still having seizures. Please, please pray for our sweet boy. I just want them to stop 💔 #eplipseyawareness
